May I?

YO-Some traffic in your inbox for end of April/May

Let’s go-we’re back!

First off, welcome to all the new names in here. Pumped about it! Thanks for joining the crew.

I know these intros are supposed to be short, sweet, and probably contain a dumb joke.

So... obligatory but genuine “thank you” complete.

Easter

Easter was last week, and if you don’t know me well, Jesus is a big part of my life. Actually, THE biggest.

I’m just a sinner saved by Grace.

God becoming man and sacrificing Himself for us? That’s next level love. Epic stuff.

If you ever want to hear my story and how He radically changed my life, hit me up. Always down to share.

You can listen to some of it here.

Quote That’s Been Sticking With Me

“Your fear of regret has to be greater than your fear of rejection”

-Don’t know but James Jennings hit me with the quote

It’s actually originally from Alex Hormozi. But James will tell you he owns it now haha.

I wanted a reason to name drop 2J for his above average info gathering. Consider it done.

You can find the quote in Hormozi’s podcast, The Game.

This episode is where that quote came from. (apple version)

He’s intense, but man he drops some hard one liners. We all know I’m a fan of those.

It kind of explains why I’m leaning into this newsletter and a few other things lately.

It’s uncomfortable. It’s messy. It’s vulnerable.

But I’d rather regret not being perfect than regret never moving the needle on something.

Fail forward. Even if you have to embarrass yourself at first.

Alex also say’s “it’s not your fault, but it is your problem” which is a great way of explaining extreme ownership of your own situation.

(if you listen to this pod please hit me with a reply and let me know your favorite line)

Me as Alex Hormozi haha

This ties into a book I finished recently called Ready Fire Aim (free on Hoopla app I mentioned last month).

It talks about starting messy and iterating as you go. A.k.a. my life right now.

The title comes from how they now teach you to shoot clay targets.

Instead of slowly lining up your shot (Ready… Aim… Fire), you swing the gun into view as you're firing.

Speed over perfection. Movement over hesitation.

It’s got me thinking less about “getting it right” and more about just getting it going.

He talks about it being a way of operating in business and life.

I thought it was pretty cool. (full honesty it took me a while to get into this book but worth it)

Alright, moving on.

~May 15 – AMA Charleston: 4 Chairs Event

Had to get this out, though due to April 24th event.

A crowd favorite event. More details dropping soon, but mark the calendar.
👉 Charleston AMA for updates

That’s all I’ve got for this round.

Thanks for making space in your inbox, I’m having fun figuring it out as I go…and if you’re here for that, I’m glad.

If you made it this far, that’s pretty cool.

aka the mayor (unofficial title, zero political power)

P.S. If you dig what I’m doing and haven’t shared this with someone else who would…well, you should.

And real talk, if 20 of you share this to socials, I’ll make some hats and send one to every single person who shared.
